Updates provided by emails from Arusha School:

After retirement of Mr. M. Kiduma 2005, Mr. F. Nkurwa who was the Second Master took the office as the Acting Headmaster from 2005 up to 2006; then the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Headquarters posted the new Headmaster, i.e. Mr. Hamisi Kaniki who took the office from 2006.

Headmaster H.Kaniki was at School up to 2009 November, then Mr N. Kawanara who was his Second Master was appointed to be the Acting Headmaster till August 2010 when the Ministry of Education Headquarters appointed A.B Kitigwa to be the Headmistress.

I am glad to inform you that the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training Headquarters has appointed me to be the Headmistress of the Arusha School since August 2010.

I remember B L Jones, he was a great Headmaster, also the number 9 gym shoe he had in his draw. I used to be friends with his son, I think it was Hue Jones before he went to another school.

Hi, Does any one know if, any of these old headmasters are still around (post 1960's) and what about the teachers? are any of them still around?
Would love to hear any feedback from past or currant teachers.

I received the following email today:

I kindly request you to notify all Arusha School ex-students, stakeholders and all Arusha School well-wishers about this change.

She is working very hard to revive the School into its old standards.
