« on: 03 October, 2010, 12:52 »
I've just posted a short article on my East African Notes and Records blog ( about Ernest Hemingway's use of Swahili in his Green Hills of Africa (1935) (see I'd welcome comments on this and especially any recollections and observations that forum members have on the past and present use of "Up-Country Swahili" (= Kisettla = Kitchen Swahili) in N Tanzania and elsewhere in E Africa. Asante sana, mingi tena!
